Ramelin’s Valhara, 8 miles per hex
With Yezchamenid and Zuyevo done, Jose continued north and east, completing the area around the Yalu Sea — the Yalu Steppe, the Valharan Valley, and the steppes up to Hyborea. Interestingly, although his maps were largely based on the Hollow World Set world map via Christian Constantin’s 1999 map, Jose used the Companion Set/CM1 shape of the Yalu Sea. This was probably influenced by Christian’s 2014 map, which revised his earlier map of the Midlands area in just this way.
It almost goes without saying at this point that this was the first time for most of these areas to be mapped at this scale. If you have been reading my other articles for Ramelin Mystara this refrain has likely become rather familiar, but I can’t stress enough how revolutionary Jose’s pioneering maps have been for Mystaran cartography.

Truly epic in scale.
