Ramelin’s Southold, 8 miles per hex v1
This combined map of the whole Southold region was the last file in Jose’s archive dated to 2015. By that time, he had already completed large swathes of terrain across Brun, as well as scattered areas elsewhere. His earliest standalone Hule map dates to the next month, January 2016, but it’s clear that he had already finished it because it’s present here. Similarly, he included many other nations for which he had not yet released individual maps — these would come months or even years afterwards.
Jose stitched together numerous smaller maps to create this composite, including his Animal Kingdoms, City States, Orc’s Head Peninsula, Reptilian Kingdoms, Savage Baronies, and others besides. This, too, was a sign of things to come: up until this point Jose had mainly worked on smaller maps, but as he moved forward he would increasingly combine them into larger trail maps like this one.
It’s worth noting that as well as including Christian Constantin’s Hule, Jose also adapted Red Steel and Savage Baronies maps to add details north of the Savage Coast. He roughed up the rather blocky areas of terrain from those maps, adding in some fine detailing and a few more place names — though they remain largely empty expanses.
Finally, note that this map was probably never shared at the time of its creation. Jose would revisit the area for a second version of this map in mid-2017. The composite map remained unshared until then.
