Ramelin’s Zyxl, 8 miles per hex
Mystara’s far eastern island has seen little development over the years. Jose’s 8 mile per hex map may well be the most attention it has received to date. Naturally, it was the first time for such a detailed map of the area to be drawn up. For a theme, he seems to have taken the idea of “exotic” consonants suggested by the island’s name and taken it to its logical extreme. Thus we have a plethora of names with not only x, y, and z, but also q, w, and so on.
Considering how bare the original design was, this map added a very welcome level of fine detail to what had been a rather blank canvas. It would be wonderful to see more focus on Zyxl in the future.
