Ramelin’s Norzee, 8 miles per hex
With this map, Jose expanded his map coverage to the far north of the Alphatian Sea region. He had still not yet shared his map of Alphatia, but the northern extents were visible here, showing that he already had parts of it completed at this stage.
The main subject of the map was the group of islands in the upper part. These originated in the Master Set world map, where they were mere unnamed blobs. (Another three islands of similar proportions should lay to the north off the edge of the map.) Jose took these and added a myriad of details, mostly in the form of fjords. The resulting islands are highly reminiscent of Iceland, Norway and the northern islands of Canada.
Finally, he gave the same treatment to Qeodhar’s northern coast. He had previously mapped it back in 2015, with a second version on the way in 2018, and the version of Qeodhar in this map was an intermediate stage between the two versions.
