Ashtagon’s Alphatian Empire, 24 miles per hex WIP
Emma posted this map in May 2025, though she noted that she had made it some time previously. It was incomplete due to an error in the alignment of Alphatia — very likely caused by Dawn of the Emperors’ Alphatia and Isle of Dawn maps, which had Alphatia out of sync between the two maps. She explained fully in her post at DeviantArt:
A long time ago, I tried to make a 24-mile scale hex map of Alphatia as depicted in Dawn of the Emperors. This was never completed. Deep into production, I realised I had not georeferenced the source maps properly, and the east coast of Alphatia was about half a hex out of position. Correcting that so deep into production would require redrawing basically the entire coast, which is the most time consuming part of the process. If I try this again, I would be starting from scratch. For those who are curious, this is what I had so far.
The internal divisions in the central Isle of Dawn reflect a conflict in one of the Master-level adventure modules.
It’s a very attractive map, tying together an assortment of maps from Dawn of the Emperors. I hope someday she can complete it.
