Chimpman’s Marsh of Putrescence, 8 miles per hex v2
One of the first 8 mile per hex maps John worked on for his Hollow Moon mapping project was this one of Palus Putredinis — the Marsh of Putrescence. This would be the first of many detailed maps expanding the areas shown on the 40 mile per hex map.
John began mapping in late August 2009, going through rapid updates for a day or two. The original version is lost to us, although it likely wasn’t all that different from this one — which only dates to a day after the first.
He would return for another update in 2011.
