Zendrolion’s Norwold, 24 miles per hex v3.0
The second of four maps Simone published in Threshold #7, this was the successor to his previous Norwold v1.7 map. He took that map — already at a high degree of completion — and refined it further. He explained:
The update aims in particular at achieving a better blending of the various conflicting canonic maps which shows the areas bordering the Known World, the Isle of Dawn, and the Heldann-Denagoth region.
Threshold #7 pages 6-8 contain a very detailed 16-point explanation of the logic behind his map. He went to a great deal of effort to increase compatibility with the various different fan developments that had built up over the years.
All in all, it’s an amazing piece of work. Together with the other maps, which tackled climate, provinces, and regions, Simone created a very complete picture of this whole corner of Brun. Bravo, Simone!
