Ashtagon’s GAZ8 The Five Shires, 8 miles per hex
From the Valley of Wolves, Emma next chose the tranquil land of the Five Shires. GAZ8’s map was a very dense piece of work, posting somewhat of a challenge to cartographers — including the original cartographers, I’m sure — to fit everything in.
Emma wasn’t quite done with tweaking her palette:
I decided to change my seas to a slightly darker blue compared to previous maps, in order to make it more easy to distinguish from the basic green land colour (to help with colour-blindness; the two were almost the exact same luminosity). I’m not sure I’ll stick with this exact blue though. Likewise, the river colour is not yet set in stone.
The results speak for themselves.
