Ashtagon’s Myoshima, 8 miles per hex v2
A couple of days after sharing her Patera North Polar v2 map, Emma posted the full Myoshima part of her Patera, 8 mile per hex world map. She explained in a post at The Piazza:
This is an extract of a larger world map of Patera, covering the core region of the Empire of Myoshima. For technical reasons (file size of exported image), I’m not able to export the entire eight-mile-scale world map in one image.
Scale is eight miles per hex north-south, however, map projection distortion means that the east-west distance per hex goes down as you head towards the poles.
This is, needless to say, a work in progress. Many towns and villages have not yet been named.
Although she had progressed a great deal with her map, it still wasn’t finished at this point. With such a massive area, completion would be an enormous task. Nevertheless, Myoshima was already at an advanced stage of development in this map.
On versioning for this file, the “v2” label is Emma’s own, which I have adopted as is, though I have been unable to find a version 1 anywhere.
