Christian’s Hule, 8 miles per hex
Christian’s Skothar map was amazing and revolutionary, but this was his true masterpiece: the entire Hulean Empire in glorious 8 mile per hex detail. Of course it brings together all of his previous “converted lands” maps, but more of a point it covers the whole of the rest of the empire for the first time at this scale.
This map was nothing short of revolutionary, and it remains the best and most comprehensive view of Hule to this day. It has since been remade multiple times, in different graphic styles, by Thibault Sarlat (twice!), Eric Anondson, Gary Davies and Jose Ignacio Ramos Lomelin. Although they sometimes tweaked some features, all of these versions remained pretty faithful to Christian’s original design.
Fan-made Map by Christian Constantin (September 1999)

Revisions
- Spelling — The labels around Southern Hule appeared in the Princess Ark series. The following labels were different, either as a deliberate choice or (more often) due to misreading of the hard-to-decipher originals or just typos.
- Arzarüm Orcish Reserve became Arzarum Orcs. This one is a contraction, though missing the accent.
- Bastión de los Caballeros became Bastion de los Caballeros.
- Boa Mansão became Boa Mansao.
- Castle of Aymir became Aymir Hisar — “Hisar” clearly meaning “Castle”.
- Castle of Yânidir became Yanidir Hisar.
- Chiquitin became Chiquilin.
- Ciudadela de León became Ciudela de Leon.
- Gallibolü Orcish Reserve became Gallibolu Orcs.
- Izlibül became Izlibul.
- Puebla de Alcázar became Puebla de Alcazar.
- River Gree became Gree River.
- River Rosin became Rosin River.
- River Thanat became Thanat River.
- Sevlievo became Seylievo.
- The Sanctified Land became The Sanctified Lands. The usage was also different, for which see Terrain.
- Torre Cristobál became Torre Cristobal.
- Torre do Perdão became Torre do Perdao.
- Torreón became Torreon.
- Tower of Osmanîye became Tower of Osmantye.
- Vilaverde became Villaverde.
- Terrain — X5 presented The Sanctified Land as an alternate name for Hule itself, but here Christian has pluralised the name and reinterpreted it as the name for the wild area of the Dark Wood in central Hule.
